Can I drop into the yoga classes?

Our classes are exclusive and only available to guests of the Grand Hotel in Porto Cervo (in Sardinia), of Hotel Cala d'Or (in Majorca) or of Hotel Mlini (in Croatia) who have booked through us. This is because we offer group holidays with a very enjoyable social life and not drop-in yoga classes

How do I get from and to the airport in Croatia?

Once you let us know your arrival time at Split airport we do the rest.  We will wait in arrivals for your flight with a name card and our private mini van will be waiting to bring you to Milna.  We do all the organising so you can sit back and relax.

How is this holiday different from most yoga retreats?

Firstly...it's a holiday  -  not a boot camp, or a retreat

The single most important consideration , from the moment you arrive will be YOU.  You will not be expected to "fit into" a  pre designed programme. Rather, we will match our programme to your needs  and requirements.

How many people are there in the class?

We hope to have a group of between 8 and 10

How much is the deposit and when is the balance due?

The deposit is 25% per person and then the balance is due 28 days before your trip. At 28 days your payment becomes non-refundable. If you book with less than a month’s notice then we would ask for total payment in one go and your payment would be non-refundable

How much is the single supplement?

We are conscious of costs and we are trying to make this an affordable holiday that you'll want to come back to again and recommend to friends.  We charge £100/€130 per person for a single room supplement.

I am a beginner, is that ok?

Of course it is.  Here are a few words from our instructor Sadi:

I believe Yoga is for everyone regardless of age, levels of fitness or challenges. My aim is to show people how to work without straining or forcing the body past its own limitations, yet encouraging everyone to reach their full potential.

My aim is to teach how to work without straining or forcing the body past its own  limitations, yet encouraging everyone to reach their full potential. In my classes I aim to   demonstrate:

  • how to work and relax at the same time
  • how to listen to your body and treat yourself with gentleness and patience, as you  would treat a best friend
  • how to use the power of the *breath to calm the mind and emotions, to heal and to  relax
  • how we can incorporate what we learn in class into our daily lives
  • relaxation techniques

Your Yoga class should be something you look forward to, knowing the benefits it brings   physically, mentally and emotional.  It is your time -  no one demanding anything of you  and no one judging you in any way.

Sadi

I am a solo traveler, is that ok?

Of course it is.  we offer a safe comfortable environment with like minded people.  Our instructor Sadi will guide you through the joys of yoga and you'll fall in love with the uncommercialised little gem that is Milna village.

We've also kept the single supplement as low as possible to make this holiday affordable.

Is the holiday definitely happening (I have heard of other yoga retreats being cancelled)?

Yes.   This is defintely happening.  Sadi is our instructor from Ireland and her flights are booked, so all we need now are our guests.

Is the yoga always outdoors?

If at all possible yes.   We'll either be beside the pool or down at the waterfront ( a 2 minute walk form Villa Anna)

My friend or partner is not interested in yoga can they come too?

If you love yoga but your travelling companion doesn’t, you can still join us. There is plenty for them to do in the area and there is a discount for a shared room with only one yoga space. They can also join you for the light breakfast and the brunch and for any activities that you enjoy with your yoga friends such as boat trips, visiting local markets, beach trips etc.

What airlines fly to Split?

On June 4  we can see the following airlines flying in to Split from the UK

  • Easyjet flying from Bristol, London Gatwick(choice of 3 flights), Luton, Stansted and Manchester
  • Norwegian Airlines fly from London Gatwick also

What different types of room do you have?

Villa Anna has 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms arranged over 3 floors

Each of the 3 floors has 3 bedrooms and a kitchen, dining and living area with generous outdoor space.  We have 2 swimming pools and you are 2 minutes walk from the harbour for your swim in the sea.

On the ground floor apartment we have 3 ensuite bedrooms.

On the first floor apartment we have one ensuite bedroom and then 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom.  These 2 bedrooms are our best value starting at £450/€580 per person before single supplement.

Then on the second floor we have 3 more ensuite bedrooms.

What else is there to do in the area?

Hiking, cycling, seasonal adventure sports, a day trip to Split, a multitude of sights to see and places to explore.

What is the food like, can you cater for specific dietery requirements?

The brunch is a buffet-style meal so you can choose to eat whatever you like, it is all healthy Mediterranean food and we are happy to cater for dietary requirements including, but not only, vegetarian. We do not have any restrictions though and you are welcome to eat fish or meat and to have a glass of wine with dinner if you would like

What is the local currency?

Croatian kuna (KN), as at January 2016, 1 euro is about 7.5 kuna, 1 British pound about 10 kuna.

What is the weather like?

On average in June around the Split area the temperature is 21 Degrees Celsius with highs of 26 and lows of 16.  Average rainfall is around 48mm per month.

What meals are included?

We include a light pre-yoga snack in case you need something before the class. Sadi would advise not to eat much before yoga. We also include a full sociable, delicious brunch of healthy Mediterranean food each day. Most guests find that they don’t need lunch after this. We don’t include dinner because there are many options in Milna village (within walking distance) and guests tend to prefer to make varied plans for dinner.  and of course you can go down to the quayside and buy some fresh fish to BBQ in the evenings if you wish to relax at home

What options are there for dinner in the village?

Milna village has a choice of 6 restaurants for your evening meal.

We also have 3 BBQ areas at Villa Anna so the option is there if you want to BBQ and relax by the pool in the evening also

What type of yoga do you practise?
